Freshman (1st Year) Supplemental Advising Workshop
Part Two - Segment I Basic Subjects (12 units minimum)
Segment I of General Education (see Segment I lists)
There are four requirements in Segment I; we call these classes the Basic Subjects because they teach you important foundation skills for all other courses.
All four are high demand courses for freshmen. Other than math and English described previously, there are two other requirements:
Oral Communication: COMM 150 and,
Critical Thinking: PHIL 110, ETHS 110 or RRS 110 (offerings for Spring 2013)
On your class planner, you should choose a Critical Thinking and/or COMM 150 if not already enrolled.
