San Francisco State is facing an unprecedented 20% budget cut (or $43 Million) which has forced the Board of Trustees, Chancellor Charles B. Reed and President Corrigan to take action to address this severe drop in state support.

With the recent legislative action to address a $26 Billion shortfall in the state's budget, the CSU and SF State must move forward so that students, faculty and staff know what to expect in the coming months.

Faculty and staff will be furloughed, student fees have been increased and we have been forced to close admissions for the spring semester. There is still a cut of $183 Million to be absorbed by all 23 campuses.

Now is the time to become an SF State Advocate and contact your local legislators and the Governor and urge them to make higher education a priority.
