RSCAA (Research, Scholarship
and Creative Activity Awards)

Administered by the Professional Development Council
(Academic Senate). Includes the following awards:
- Vice President's Assigned Time Awards provide 3
WTUs (.20) assigned time for research, scholarship,
and creative activity during either the Fall
or Spring semester.
- Faculty Diversity Support Awards (formerly Affirmative
Action) provide 3 WTUs (.20) assigned time for research,
scholarship, and/or creative activity during the Fall
or Spring semester. People with disabilities,
veterans, members of ethnic groups, and other individuals
who are under-represented in their field of study
are encouraged to apply.
- CSU Mini Grants for scholarly research can be used
for a variety of expenses to support individual projects
(e.g., supplies, equipment, computer time, travel
for faculty, student assistance, and clerical support).
Awards will not exceed $5,000.
- CSU Summer Stipends provide a stipend equal to
one month's regular salary to support one month of
scholarship. The stipend amount
is based on the salary rates currently in effect prior
to the award of the stipend. Faculty who receive a
summer stipend under this program cannot accept additional
employment funded by the CSU or CSU auxiliaries during
the specified term of the summer stipend. Twelve-month
employees are not eligible for summer stipends.
