Students starting the college selection process and parents who want more information on college opportunities available to their teenager can get their questions answered at the annual San Francisco/Northern Peninsula College Fair at Serramonte Center mall in Daly City from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2. Students will be able to talk first-hand with representatives from various colleges and universities to find out about college and career opportunities. SFSU, the Jefferson Union High School District and South San Francisco Unified School District are sponsoring the event, which will feature representatives from the California State University, University of California, Bay Area community colleges, private colleges in California and other states, and the military. Representatives from the schools will be on hand to answer questions about academic programs, financial aid, entrance exams and college applications. For details, contact SFSU Student Outreach Services at (415) 338-7168. Students intending to enroll at SFSU or another CSU campus in fall 2005 are strongly advised to submit their applications for admission no later than Nov. 30. Apply online at CSU Mentor. For more details on SFSU admissions, majors and degree programs, costs, financial aid, on-campus housing and student life, visit the Prospective Student Web site, call (415) 338-2355 or e-mail outreach@sfsu.edu. -- Matt Itelson
