Proposal Title: Restructuring of the College of
Creative Arts

Elimination of 2 chairs
Elimination of staff of three departments.
No courses or degree titles are impacted. Increases efficiency and natural clusters.
Brief Description of Proposal:
The College of Creative Arts can be restructured,
by reorganizing its departments and schools into other existing colleges.
The proposed structure is to combine Theatre Department with the School of
Music and Dance, thus eliminating one chair and associated staff. The School
of Design & Industry
would be relocating to the College of Business, having a matrix relationship
to Marketing Department. BECA and Cinema would be combined be relocated under
the College of Humanities -- eliminating one chair and associated staff. The Art
Department would also be relocated to the Humanities, but retaining its chair.
