Brief Description of Proposal:
There are undoubtedly consultants who could be a better job for less money than our current Capital Planning. There role in Hensill Hall and interference in the recent Greenhouse construction shows that they desire zero faculty input on facilities the faculty will use, at great cost to the University. Are the 8th floor greenhouse and facilities usable now that we're over 11 years from 'construction'? Were the planned changes to the specifications apparently determined by Capital Planning have any merit? Only in cost saving (presumably) but with complete loss of functionality of the facilities; and that's not cost-savings, that's a waste of time and money that creates an atmosphere of frustration among users.
