More than 4,000 students cheered on by about 20,000 family members
and friends filled a sun-drenched Cox Stadium on Saturday, May
29, for SF State's 103rd Commencement. Flowers, balloons and brightly-decorated
caps and gowns added visual liveliness to the event and helped
family and friends pick their graduates out of the crowd (along
with the help of cell phones).
