Public invited to SF State conference on commemoration of 1968 strike
40th anniversary of longest student-led strike in history will commemorate the event's legacy in social justice, student leadership and access to higher education
WHAT:
"Consciousness, Community, Liberation: Fulfilling the Promise of '68," a commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the historic 1968 San Francisco State student-led strike. Events include an academic conference, panel discussions and cultural activities that focus on civil rights; social justice; legal, political, educational and economic equity; and student leadership and activism.
WHEN:
8:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29 through Friday, October 31 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008
