NEW DAILY PARKING RATES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2014
Effective July 1, 2014 the new daily parking rates will be $4 for 2 hours or $7 for a daily permit. A $14 two day permit can be purchased as well. Permit machines take bills, debit or credit cards and the SF State One Card.

Passengers may ask for a ride to any of these stops during a time not listed, during the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, M-F.
At BART, inform the Campus Loop Driver which location you need to be dropped off at. Also, if you need assistance back to BART or another listed location, arrange for return trip at this time or call (415) 338-1441.
Lot 20 Parking Permits available for Students on August 20, 2014.
Limited amount of semester permits will be available on a first come first serve basis. Once permits are sold out there will be no more available until the following semester.
$224 for a Monday & Wednesday semester permit. $224 for a Tuesday & Thursday semester permit. (both can be purchased) Prices change on a weekly basis. Check with Parking and Transportation for updated cost at (415) 338-1441.

Lot 25 Parking Permits available for On Campus Resident Students.
Semester permits will be available on August 20, 2014. These permits are $225 per semester and are available to students who live on campus only.

NEW Permit Machines in Parking garage and Lot.
Machines will take all bills (no coins), debit cards, credit cards; Visa, Mastercard, Discovery, American Express, and the University One Card. Must have exact change machines DO NOT give change.
Daly City BART FREE Transfer with a Clipper card.
The Daly City BART paper transfer is no longer available. In order to ride MUNI for free you must have a clipper card. When you exit the station the clipper card will automatically load the free MUNI transfer. It can be used on MUNI at the station and at 19th Ave. within a 23 hour period. If you ride the campus shuttle at the BART station you still can ride MUNI from 19th Ave for the return trip. If you do not have a clipper card you can pick one up at the Information Desk in the Student Center. If you are getting charged on your Clipper card go to the clippercard.com website and request a refund.
Daily Parking Permit Fee (Effective July 1, 2011)
Parking fees are $3.00 for two hours or $6.00 for the day. Daily permits expire at midnight. Two day permits are available for $12. Hourly rates are no longer available. Exact change is required, machines do not give change.
Campus Bicycle Parking
SF State offers over 250 designated parking spaces for bicycles throughout campus on bike racks and an additional 450 spaces in the Bike Barn, located in Lot 6 under the gym.
Bicycles, scooters, and other vehicles that are parked on or against handrails and in other non-designated areas are subject to a $58 citation and the bicycle, scooter, or other vehicle may be impounded at owner’s expense. Authority: CVC 21113 (a), (f) and TC 100 and ADA Section 504.
Please park your bicycle at a bicycle rack or at the Bike Barn located in Lot 6, under the Gymnasium.
SF State Campus Ordinances
Purpose and Intent:
San Francisco State University has implemented the following campus ordinances to protect the health, safety and general welfare of the SF State community and visitors to the campus.
California Government Code Sections 7596-7598 permit local governments and college campuses, including those of the California State University, to pass more restrictive smoking ordinances, regulations and policies than those listed in the California Government Code itself in order to address issues that have a negative impact on the campus communities.
Following are the SFSU Campus Ordinances which are enforced by the University Police Department and Department of Parking and Transportation. These ordinances are campus-specific and are decriminalized sections, much like a parking ticket. They are not adjudicated in a court of law.
- Authority to Cite and Collect Revenue for 21113 CVC Violations - AB 1228
- Authority to Cite and Collect Revenue for Smoking Violations on Campus
- Education Code 89031 (Misdemeanor) – Fine of “up to” $1,000 “and/or” up to 1 year in jail.
- Title 5 California Code of Regulations Sec. 42356
SFSU Ordinance #2010-1 – Securing Bicycle/Scooter to anything other than Bike Rack Prohibited - CVC 21113a. It shall be a violation of SFSU campus ordinance #2010-1 to secure a bicycle/scooter of any kind to an object, building or tree on the SFSU campus at any time. Only a bike rack provided by the campus and designed to secure bicycles/scooters shall be used to secure bicycles/scooters. Penalty: $58.00
SFSU Ordinance #2010-2 – Skateboarding on Campus Prohibited - CVC 21113a. It shall be a violation of SFSU campus ordinance #2010-2 to ride a skateboard of any kind on the grounds of the SFSU campus at any time. Penalty: $58.00
SFSU Ordinance #2010-3 – Riding Bicycle/Scooter on Campus Prohibited – CVC 21113a. It shall be a violation of SFSU campus ordinance #2010-3 to ride a bicycle or scooter (motorized or not) of any kind on the grounds of the SFSU campus at any time, except on a designated bike path. Penalty: $58.00
SFSU Ordinance #2010-4 – Smoking on Campus Prohibited – Education Code 89031. It shall be a violation of SFSU campus ordinance #2010-4 to smoke on the grounds of the SFSU campus at any time, unless in a designated smoking area. Penalty: $58.00

Citation Payment Information:
- Payment by mail: Make check or money order for amount of fee listed on the front of the citation payable to SFSU CITATION PROCESSING. Do not send cash. Write the citation number on the check or money order. Your cancelled check will serve as a receipt. Enclose the payment and the citation in the return envelope or send to address printed on the front of the notice.
- Payment in person: You may pay your citation in person at the SFSU Parking Department on North State Drive or at either of the SFSU cashier’s offices: Administration Building 155 or Student Services Building first floor. The Parking Department cannot accept cash – checks or money orders only.
Step One: Request for Citation Cancellation: If you wish to contest a citation, you must do so in writing within 21 calendar days from the date of issuance. Forms are located at the parking Department on North State Drive on the SFSU campus or online at http://www.sfsu.edu.~parking.
Step Two: Administrative Review: If your request for cancellation has been denied and you would like to further contest the citation, you may do so in writing within 10 days of the mailing results of step one. Administrative review will be done after the fee is paid. Forms are located at the parking Department on North State Drive on the SFSU campus.
