June 10, 2002 SFSU's summer semester begins today with the first of three sessions. This is the second year that the University is offering a full, state-supported summer program. And the number of class offerings has been expanded to 1,359 -- about 150 more than last year. More courses are available across the board with the largest boost to basic writing, math and other prerequisites. So far more than 8,011 students have enrolled. Students can still register for one of the three summer sessions:

Paul Leonard Library will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mon. - Thurs., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sunday. For complete hours, see the Library's Web site. The SFSU Bookstore will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon. - Fri. For more information, see the Bookstore Web site. Most campus food vendors will be open during the summer beginning at 7:30 a.m., but they will close by mid afternoon or early evening. The latest a vendor will be open is 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 4 p.m. Friday. For complete hours, contact individual vendors.
