'Promises,' a film about children in Jerusalem, returns Thursday

Two children from the film"Promises" an award-winning film featuring the attitudes and anxieties of Jerusalem's children, returns for a second screening this semester at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in Jack Adams Hall of the Cesar Chavez Student Center. Admission is free.

The film features seven children, ages 9-13, speaking about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It has a running time of 106 minutes and was directed by Justine Shapiro, B.Z. Goldberg, and Carlos Bolado.

Shapiro and Goldberg will attend the screening.

The event is sponsored by Associated Students Performing Arts and Lectures and is part of SFSU's Year of Constructive Civil Discourse.
