/ VOCABULARY DEVELOPMENT
The
LAC offers tutoring for these subjects. With an LAC tutor, you can develop
and practice reading skills you can use for any college-level reading
task: annotating; identifying main ideas and support; planning reading;
textbook reading; understanding, summarizing, and comprehending for
better retention; using a dictionary.
In total, there are three places that offer tutoring for reading, listed

Media Access Center provides a course, ENG 111, to improve
reading rate and comprehension skills and vocabulary skills
through self-paced materials. Students can sign up for
one, two, or three units. Some individual assistance is
