Students are admitted to the oral examination upon passing the written examination.
Neither examination may be attempted more than twice.
Students seeking admission to the Italian Program must have completed an undergraduate major comparable to the major in Italian language, literature and culture at SFSU.
Applicants without such a major may be admitted conditionally after they have consulted their advisor and have established an equivalent program of study. Courses taken to satisfy an equivalent to the major may not be credited toward the Masters' Degree.
