    Priority Registration

Priority Registration for classes is provided for students registered with the DPRC as having a chronic or permanent disability. Students eligible for this service are encouraged to register early each term in order to create a class schedule that meets their disability-related needs.

    DPRC’s Priority Registration Procedures

Students with disabilities need to give careful consideration to the specific impact of their disabilities when registering for classes. Factors like the physical location of the class, the time of day it is offered, and the amount of reading that is required can all significantly affect registration decisions for a student with a disability.

To maximize each student’s disability management when planning his or her course load, the University provides priority registration to students with disabilities through the DPRC. Students with disabilities must register with the DPRC to be eligible for this service.

Continuing Students Only (Attended Fall 2007 or Spring 2008)

Early Priority Registration begins April 28 solely for continuing SFSU students. DPRC students are allowed to register for up to 16 units instead of the usual 8.

Check your registration status on your MySFSU for assigned registration date and to check for any registration holds.

Choose courses carefully by checking with major department advisor and your DARS on your MySFSU for GE classes.

Contact us at 415/338-2472 v/tty, if you did not receive the correct date or the correct units.

Early Priority Registration ends May 9. You will NOT be able to make any changes to your class schedule UNTIL the Final Priority Registration period beginning on July 21.

ANY DPRC student with a JEPET (Junior English Proficiency Essay Test) hold, or a high unit undeclared hold cannot have their registration date changed to our early registration date.

Fees need to be cleared or paid NO LATER than July 10, including Department of Rehabilitation Vouchers, or ALL classes added during Early Priority Registration period will be DROPPED.
