PLSI 768 : The Politics of Dissent in Comparative Perspective

Prerequisites: Graduate standing in PLSI or consent of instructor.
Description: Exploration of political dissent; study of theories and cases concerning everyday forms of resistance, collective action, protest, social movements, political violence, and revolution. Particular but not exclusive emphasis on cases in the Middle East and North Africa.
