PHIL 770 : Myth of the Given

Prerequisites: Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
Description: A study of Sellars's famous attack on the Myth of the Given, followed by various appropriations of his Hegelian-spirited project by the "Pittsburgh school," i.e., Brandom's inferentialist approach and McDowell's neo-empiricism.
