ENG 790 : Lyric and Form

Prerequisites: ENG 741 (may be taken concurrently) or consent of instructor.
Description: Major lyric forms of the 16th through the 20th centuries, with special attention to the sonnet, elegy, and ode. Detailed discussion of major works by Shakespeare, Donne, Wordsworth, Keats, Millay, and Heaney.
