COMM 561 : Social Semiotics

Prerequisites: COMM 150 and ENG 214 or equivalents; enrollment priority to upper division COMM majors.
Description: Social functions of language and symbolism in everyday life. Analyses of how meaning is constituted and communicated through the use of symbols in social and cultural practices.
