On-Campus Summer Orientation Dates for Fall 2012 Admitted Freshmen
Orientation sessions held on our main campus in San Francisco
The Summer 2012 Orientations for Fall 2012 admitted Freshmen will occur in June & July.
Orientation is on a first-come, first-serve basis and only if the student completes ALL steps necessary to reserve a space for one of our Orientation sessions.
Please note: since registration for classes occurs at orientation, the earlier you attend one, the better chance you will have in getting all the classes you want!
Below are the dates. Please note: only those who have completed Early Start or who are exempt from Early Start may attend June 1 and June 4 orientations. See Early Start and Orientation explanation page.
Note: all of the our sessions begin in the Cesar Chavez Student Center lobby on our San Francisco main campus!
June Dates:
June 1st & 4th are ONLY for students that have completed Early Start by this date or are exempt.
- Friday June 1 - Cesar Chavez lobby, Check-in at 8:15am (ending ~3:30pm)
- Monday June 4 - Cesar Chavez lobby, Check-in at 8:15am (ending ~3:30pm)
June 6th - 9th we are away from campus conducting our Southern California sessions!

July Dates:

One family member and/or parent may accompany the student.
Plan to check in ON TIME at 8:15am and stay until around 3:30pm. Students who arrive late will have to reschedule.
University tuition must be pre-paid or financial aid awards must be on file in order to register for classes at Orientation.
Test scores or exemptions for ELM/ EPT must be on file.
Those who test after the deadline (May 5) are not allowed to attend SF State!
Once scores for ELM and EPT are received, those students who must participate in Early Start must have begun the process.
On-Campus Orientation Fees
Any on-campus orientation will cost $35 per student and $25 per guest. The fees include your Orientation and advising materials and a meal.
