Re-opening of the Towers at Centennial Square means 600 more spots for students wishing to live on campus; 102 students will be part of a Science and Technology theme community WHAT: Part of the building is allocated for a Science and Technology theme community for freshmen who are interested in science- and tech-related majors. These students will receive on-site tutoring in such stumbling-block classes as calculus and organic chemistry, participate in a weekly dinner with faculty members from the College of Science and Engineering, and have access to an on-site computer lab. With the reopening of the Towers, SFSU now provides housing for 2,270 students -- the most in the University's history. The University also houses 850 freshmen and sophomores in Mary Ward and Mary Park halls and 760 juniors, seniors and graduate students in the Village at Centennial Square. WHO: WHEN: WHERE:
