DARS - Degree Audit Report System
ASE - Advanced Standing Evauation

The Degree Audit Report System (DARS) report indicates your progress toward completing your SFSU General Education requirements and your major program. (Note: you may or may not see your major program on your DARS report; the incorporation of major programs on the DARS report is an ongoing project currently underway). Only SFSU credits and transfer credits from schools that participate in the DARS system will appear on the report. Transfer credits from non-DARS schools will appear on your ASE. Please seek an advisor within your major/minor department for progress towards completion of major/minor requirements.

Students with both an ASE and a DARS report should use both documents together to evaluate your progress toward completing your degree.

DARS reports are available free of charge at your MySFSU page.

The Advanced Standing Evaluation (ASE) shows transfer work from non-DARS schools. This may include AP exam credit from high school and Military Service credit. Just like the DARS report, the ASE will only show progress towards General Education requirements. Seek an advisor within your major/minor department for progress towards completion of major/minor requirements.

Students with both an ASE and a DARS report should use both documents together to evaluate your progress toward completing your degree.

To order an ASE report, go to the Registrar's Counter at the One Stop Student Services Center (SS 101) with a picture ID. There is no charge. Please note that not all ASE's are available on demand.
