SAN FRANCISCO--Kouslaa T. Kessler-Mata of Albany was named the hood recipient for the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at San Francisco State University for the Class of 2000. She is pictured next to SFSU President Robert A. Corrigan immediately following the commencement on May 27. Every year one of the top students of each college mat SF State is chosen to receive a special hood on stage to represent the graduating students from that college. Kouslaa maintained a 3.82 GPA in her studies, whic h focused on American studies and American-Indian studies. In addition, she dedicated a lot of her time to volunteer activities and internships. In future, Kouslaa hopes to teach political science and American-Indian studies at the university level.
