Media Availability: SF State faculty and administrators and 1968 student strikers

 

WHAT:

San Francisco State University faculty and strikers who were involved in the 1968 student-led strike and current University faculty and administrators will give remarks and answer questions at the beginning of the four-day academic conference and commemoration of the strike's legacy. The 1968 student strike at SF State led to a national movement to diversify faculty and students on U.S. college campuses and the birth of SF State's College of Ethnic Studies. Scheduled to attend are SF State President Robert A. Corrigan, Dean of the College of Ethnic Studies Kenneth Monteiro and persons involved in the 1968 strike.

9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008.
