Update unifies appearance throughout Web site FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- News Release 001 SAN FRANCISCO, July 1, 2005 --The San Francisco State University Office of Public Affairs and Publications updated the format of their press releases to more closely follow the style of the SF State News Web site. "The new look is more pleasing to they eye and has the further advantage of making navigation much easier and consistent," said department director Ellen Griffin. Transitioning to the new style marks the near complete transition to the new look and format. "Two years ago we took a disparate collection of pages, brought them together and melded the content into a vasty more friendly and useful set of resources. We then continued to fine-tune the overall design while, almost daily, adding fresh content," Griffin added. The result? A 400% increase in traffic and campus-wide readership. Students, faculty and staff now rely on SF State News to keep them up-to-date not only on campus happenings, but also on the fascinating trail of events that have brought people to this point in time and are taking them on to greater things in the future. The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) awarded the SFSU Office of Public Affairs and Publications for its full and balanced Web coverage of and response to campus events and controversies.
