Media Advisory: Meet SF State’s top grads at Commencement rehearsal Friday afternoon

Good photo and interview opportunity with future leaders

 

WHAT:

San Francisco State University’s hood recipients, the top graduates chosen to represent the 8,275 students in the class of 2008, will rehearse for the Saturday, May 24, Commencement ceremony. Good opportunity for one-on-one interviews and photos.

WHEN:

3 p.m., Friday, May 23

WHERE:

Cox Stadium, San Francisco State University, 1600 Holloway (at 19th Avenue), San Francisco, Calif.

WHO:

Each hood recipient is an outstanding student with a unique story and an ambitious plan for the future. Each recipient represents their fellow graduates in the SF State colleges of Business, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Creative Arts, Education, Ethnic Studies, Health and Human Services, Humanities, and Science and Engineering, and the Division of Graduate Studies and Liberal Studies program. This year’s hood recipients are:

  • Katherine Kramer of San Francisco (Behavioral and Social Sciences)
  • Andrew Hines of San Francisco (Business)
  • David Silverman of San Francisco (Creative Arts)
  • Marie Held of Sonoma County (Education)
  • Morrigan Yaayaginaxíx Shaw of Daly City (Ethnic Studies)
  • Nicole Greaves of San Francisco (Health and Human Services)
  • Lisa Rau of San Francisco (Humanities)
  • Batbileg Bor of Daly City (Science and Engineering)
  • Courtney Good of San Pablo (Liberal Studies / Special Major)
