Annual event is sponsored by SFSU, Jefferson Union High School District, South S.F. Unified

SAN FRANCISCO, October 13, 2004 -- Students starting the college selection process and parents who want more information on college opportunities available to their teenager can get their questions answered at the annual San Francisco/Northern Peninsula College Fair at Serramonte Center Mall in Daly City from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Students will be able to talk first-hand with representatives from various colleges and universities, as well as military personnel, to find out about college and career opportunities.

San Francisco State University, the Jefferson Union High School District and South San Francisco Unified School District are co-sponsoring the event, which will feature representatives from California State University, University of California, Bay Area community colleges, private colleges in other states, and the military.

Representatives from the schools will be on hand to answer questions about academic programs, financial aid, entrance exams and college applications. For details, contact SFSU Student Outreach Services at (415) 338-7168.

Students intending to enroll at SFSU or other CSU campuses in fall 2005 are strongly advised to submit their applications for admission no later than Nov. 30. Apply online at www.csumentor.edu.
