San Francisco, November 12, 2003 -- Get into the season with the enchanting holiday sounds of the SFSU Chamber Singers. Amid the glow of candles, conductor Joshua Habermann leads the vocalists in a diverse and ethereal program in the rich acoustics of St. Albert’s Priory in Oakland on Saturday, December 6, at 8 p.m.. A festive reception follows the performance. In pieces ranging from serene Renaissance motets to rousing contemporary spirituals, this annual favorite showcases a cappella and accompanied arrangements and includes stunning solos. The program features works by Johannes Brahms, Roland de Lassus, Edward Fissinger, Kevin Oldham and local composer David Conte, along with a variety of traditional pieces heralding from around the globe.
