New area in SFSU Student Services Building to offer 'One-Stop' services for all students
SAN FRANCISCO, March 9, 2001 - Beginning March 19, San Francisco State University students will be able to access their most vital campus services by making just one stop.
The new One-Stop Student Services Center, located on the first floor of the Student Services Building, will include the Registrar's Office, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, a service window for the College of Extended Learning, and a second Cashier's Office. The center will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the center on March 19 at 2 p.m. SFSU President Robert Corrigan will speak briefly and give a special prize to the first student who uses any of the center's services.
"This is another step by the University to make students' lives easier by making the campus more accessible to them," said Jo Volkert, assistant vice president of enrollment planning and management. "We also encourage students to utilize the many services available to them on the SFSU Web site."
Other offices that have moved into the new Student Services Building include the Career Center, CEASE, Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Resource Center, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Office of Human Relations, Affirmative Action, SAFE Place, Student Outreach Services, Student Support Services/Trio, Student Programs and Leadership Development, and the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs.
The Registar's Office, Admissions and Financial Aid were previously located in HSS 127.
