WHAT:
Middle school and high school students and their parents meet with representatives from colleges and universities from across the country during The San Francisco Area/Jefferson Union High School District College Fair.
San Francisco State University's participation in the "Family Affair College Fair" is part of National College Week, an initiative started last year by U.S. Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley encouraging children to start considering college at a younger age. National College Week continues through Monday, Oct. 23.
Teen-agers and parents will talk with college representatives on how to apply to the California State University and the University of California systems, community colleges and private/independent colleges.
Event sponsors include SFSU's Office of Student Outreach Services, Jefferson Union High School District, San Francisco Unified School District and the Serramonte Center.
The "Family Affair College Fair" is free and open to the public. For more information, call (415) 338-7168.
