Information Systems
Assistant Professor of Information Systems Robert C. Nickerson gave an address at the Dec. 7 graduation ceremony of the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Nice (IAE Nice School of Management) on the subject of global business education. Nickerson also was awarded La Médaille de l’IAE Nice (The Medal of the Nice School of Management).
Latino/Latina Studies
As part of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, Associate Professor of Latino/Latina Studies and Director of the Cesar E. Chavez Institute Belinda Reyes was an invited participant at the Jan. 10, 2014 Hispanic Males Roundtable Discussion in Washington D.C. The discussion was about the status, challenges and opportunities for increasing educational attainment and other life outcomes for young Hispanic males.
Liberal Studies
Associate Professor of Liberal Studies José Acacio de Barros's article "The Joint Use of the Tangential Electric Field and Surface Laplacian in EEG Classification," co-authored with Claudio Carvalhaes, Marcos Perrau-Guimarães and Patrick Suppes, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Brain Topography (2014, vol. 27, pp. 84-94).
