Creative Writing
Creative Writing Lecturer Anne Galjour's play, Okra, opened May 18 at the Bayou Playhouse in Lockport, Louisiana. The play will run through June 17.

International Business
Emerita Professor of International Business Mitsuko Saito Duerr was presented with an award by the Counsel General of Japan recognizing her more than 40 years of activities promoting improved American-Japanese relations and understanding. At SF State, Duerr led the U.S. Japan Institute, developed Japanese management courses and programs to educate and facilitate businesses and cross-national business ventures, and helped students secure study and internships in Japan.

Theatre
Professor of Creative Writing and Theatre Roy Conboy's play, My Tia Loca's Life of Crime, premiered May 17 at Bindlestiff Studio in San Francisco. The play, presented by Guerrilla Rep, will run through June 2.
