Public lecture with Robert Reich on corporate social responsibility
The Labor Studies Program invites the public and the campus community to a lecture with Robert Reich titled "Will Corporate Social Responsibility Stop a Race to the Bottom in Labor Standards?" Reich is Chancellor's Professor of Public Policy at University of California, Berkeley, former Secretary of Labor and author of the books Supercapitalism and Aftershock. The talk will be held Wednesday, May 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Seven Hills Conference Center. For more information, e-mail jlogan@sfsu.edu
Transportation survey
The University will conduct a comprehensive transportation survey on April 27 in an effort to better understand the commuting habits of our community. On April 27, survey teams will collect information regarding the number of people who enter and exit the campus. An e-mail will also be sent to all members of the campus community requesting their participation in an online survey about their travel patterns.
Survey results will add valuable information about campus commute habits. Data from a similar baseline survey conducted in 2008 convinced BART to relocate the SF State shuttle stop next to the Muni 28/28L bus stop at the Daly City BART station, which greatly improved the daily commute for 5,000 SF State affiliates.
Contact Wendy Bloom, campus planner, at ext. 8-3838 with questions.

Submitting events to CampusMemo
CampusMemo picks up event listings directly from the University Calendar. Departments interested in publicizing an event in CampusMemo simply need to register the event on the University Calendar by 10 a.m. on Wednesday of the previous week. To submit an event, go to www.sfsu.edu/calendar/ and click on "Submit an Event" in the left-hand navigation bar. This procedure saves event sponsors the extra step of entering information specifically for CampusMemo, and the later deadline for submittal allows more time for event sponsors to submit their items to CampusMemo.
