In Memoriam

David Middleton
David (Dave) Middleton passed away suddenly following a heart attack while attending his daughter's National Cheer Championship in Los Angeles on March 1. During his seven years with the University, Middleton provided a range of services for the Division of Information Technology and assisted members of the campus community by coordinating and supervising student assistants for the help desk and lab, providing help desk services, and overseeing the operations of the John F. True 24-hour lab.

Middleton, 51, was a Bay Area native who graduated from Alameda High School in 1975 and attended Laney College. He was a passionate kayaker and dedicated supporter of his son's football and daughter's cheerleading teams.

Middleton is survived by his mother Dorothy, brother Patrick, sister Sherylanne, sons Nathan and Dylan and daughters Angela and Rebecca. Services are being planned for early April, details will be shared when known. For more information, contact Leonore Noble at ext. 8-1133.
