History
Professor of History Trevor Getz published a graphic novel that is also a tool for teaching history. Abina and the Important Men tells the story of an enslaved girl in 19th century West Africa. It was published Sept. 2 by Oxford University Press.

Kinesiology
Professor of Kinesiology Susan Zieff presented the paper "Playing in the Streets: Local Sites Where Politics and Public Health Intersect" at the Congress of the International Sociology of Sport Association, Havana, Cuba, July 2011.
