Creative Writing Professor and Chair of Creative Writing Maxine Chernoff taught writing at the Prague Summer Seminars. Professor of Creative Writing Paul Hoover won the 2010 Frederick Bock Award for his poems in the June 2010 issue of Poetry Magazine. His new collection of poetry, Beyond the Court Gate: Selected Poems of Nguyen Trai, was published by Counterpath Press (2010). Professor of Creative Writing Michelle Carter's play, "How to Pray," won the 2010 Susan Glaspell Prize. Creative Writing Lecturer Dodie Bellamy's Life As We Show It: Writing on Film was included in the new City Lights anthology. Hospitality and Tourism Management Management Associate Professor of Management Mitchell Marks presented "Facilitating Workforce Adaptation to Changing Global Work Realities," at the 18th Annual Conference of the Association on Employment Practices and Principles held in San Francisco from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. Assistant Professor of Management Antoaneta Petkova presented "Venturing into the Unknown? A Study of U.S. Venture Capital Entry into the Alternative Energy Sector," at the Strategic Management Society Annual Meeting in Rome in September.
