Fungi finder
A Nov. 18 Half Moon Bay Review article featured Biology Lecturer J.R. Blair's fungi education efforts in the Half Moon Bay area. Blair occasionally leads groups on hunts for "fruiting bodies" along the coast between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Blair said this year's fungi crop is smaller that in years past, but noted that mushrooms can still be found. "Hunting has not been real great compared to other years," Blair said. "But (mushrooms) are always out there, no matter what."
