Sarah Menefee, a longtime San Francisco resident, is
both a poet and an advocate for homeless and impoverished people's rights.
Here she reads the chapbooks The Reamed Part, On Us, and
Like the Diamond. She concludes with several poems—"A Child," "Flounder,"
and "As" among them—written in August and September of 2001, the effect
of which is a poignant response to the tragic events of September 11.
Steve Dickison introduces Menefee and the co-reader, Benjamin Hollander.
