bell hooks—renowned writer, feminist, activist, and cultural
critic—is the author of such influential books as Ain't I A Woman, Teaching
to Transgress, and Killing Rage: Ending Racism. In the first of a two-day
event co-sponsored by Intersection for the Arts, hooks discusses the writing
