As part of the 10th Annual San Francisco Book Festival, The Poetry Center presents six Iranian-American writers reading selections from the anthology A World Between: Poems, Short Stories, and Essays by Iranian-Americans, edited by Persis Karim and Mohammad Mehdi Khorrami. Persis Karmin reads "yeki bud, yeki nabud"‹"Once Upon a Time"‹by Arash Saedinia, her own "Hybrid," and "Ed McMahon Is Iranian," by Mariam Salari. Katayoon Zandvakili reads an untitled poem from the anthology and "Deer Table Legs," the title poem of her most recent collection. Maryam Ovissi reads "Khorshid" and "Flight." Sanaz Nikaein reads "Exile, "In the Gutter," and "Forever a Stranger." Shadi Ziaei reads "Death Observed" and "Last Night."
