| Arriaza, Gilberto
Dr.
Arriaza received his doctorate from
the University of California, Berkeley
in 2000. He is now an Associate Professor
at the Educational Leadership Department
of the College of Education at
CSU San Jose. He teaches and advises
future school leaders and administrators
on organizational, curricular,
policy, and research topics. He has
worked as advisor for school principals
and leaders from K-12 schools in
the larger Bay Area, and has published
extensively and presented in numerous
conferences on issues ranging from organizational
culture, identity, leadership, action
research, to discourse and language.

Brizendine, Emily
Dr. Brizendine is Associate Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies and Professor of Educational Leadership at California State University, Hayward. Prior to her appointment as Associate Dean in 1996, she served as Assistant Dean (1995-96) and Department Chair of Educational Leadership (1993-95), the department in which she earned tenure and full professor rank. She joined the Cal State Hayward faculty in 1990 after serving for three years as Assistant Professor in the Department of Administration and Interdisciplinary Studies at San Francisco State University. |

Chan, Lionel Dr. Lionel Chan received his doctoral degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is Visiting Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests are educational finance and management. |

Coburn, Cynthia E. Dr. Cynthia E. Coburn received her Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University. She is Assistant Professor in Policy, Organization, Management, and Evaluation at the Graduate School of Education, University of California at Berkeley. Her research brings the tools of organizational sociology to understand the relationship between instructional policy and teachers' classroom practices in urban schools. |

Fraenkel, Jack Dr. Jack R. Fraenkel received his doctoral degree in the Philosophy of Education from Stanford University. He is Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education in the College of Education at San Francisco State University. His research interests are in moral education, social studies education, learning theory, and the analysis of effective classroom instruction. |
