San Fransicso State University

CPTSC warmly invites you to attend its 33rd annual conference at San Francisco State University on October 12-14, 2006. If you are interested in the design, development, and promotion of programs and research related to technical and scientific communication, please join us.

CPTSC's program theme is topical and important: "Meeting Challenges of the New Economy." Our well-known and highly regarded keynote speaker, JoAnn Hackos, will kick off our focus on this theme. And our distinguished plenary panel—Sam Dragga, Laura Gurak, Carolyn Miller, and Jim Zappen—will develop the theme further, with respect to program positioning. For more details about topics that you can expect to learn about at the conference, please see program details.

CPTSC's format will engage participants: the talks, poster presentations, and panel discussion sessions will be highly interactive. In addition, the CPTSC community will enjoy informal collegial exchanges outside of sessions, including shared meals and entertainment. And participants will become CPTSC members, who may attend the organization's annual business meeting.

CPTSC in San Francisco offers additional benefits: the delights of a diverse, cosmopolitan city during its most beautiful season and a conference excursion that promises to be intellectually, aesthetically, and socially rewarding.

CPTSC hopes to welcome you in San Francisco!
