Building on the momentum of its first 100 years, San Francisco State has become one of the most accomplished and promising public, urban universities in the country.
Private gifts have helped make SFSU the renowned university it is today. While state funds traditionally have provided most of SF State's operating budget, private supporters have helped make possible some of the finer things that SFSU has to offer, such as state-of-the-art equipment, research funding, concert series, or student scholarships.
