For more than 35 years, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at San Francisco State University (SFSU) has provided support to college students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate academic potential. EOP offers a path to a college education and is here to help students achieve academic success. Our program offers admission, academic and financial services. Our efforts are aimed at students from low-income backgrounds who would be the first in their families to attend college. We reach out to Bay Area schools to introduce students to the benefits of higher education. Once students have been admitted to SFSU through EOP, we provide ongoing advising, tutoring and workshops to help make sure that degree requirements are successfully completed.

The Student Health Service is an AAAHC accredited primary health care facility located in the center of the campus between Burk Hall and the Student Services Building.
The mission of the SHS is to facilitate life long wellness by reducing health disparities and promoting "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity".
To fulfill this goal the physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, RNs, health educators and ancillary staff offer a diverse range of primary care and preventative health services to all registered students.
The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is a committee of students and staff who represent the opinions and needs of the student body to the SHS and the university.
Student Peer Educators Advocating Campus Health (PEACHes) enhance outreach by providing health education to students throughout the campus.
