Welcome from the Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management

Jamillah Moore

Dear Gator Family,

I wanted to write to welcome everyone back to San Francisco State for the spring semester. Whether you are a new student just starting your journey here or a returning student continuing your work, we’re happy to see you because the campus just isn’t the same without you here.

It’s that sense of connection to you that drives so much of what we do here at San Francisco State. As you settle into your first week of classes, I invite you to reconnect with the community and the network around you. Sit down with your friends. Follow up with a professor. Check in with the people you see every day but may not know yet.  Every semester can pose its own challenges and it’s vital to make sure you have people around you who will make those challenges easier to navigate.

Keep in mind that San Francisco State has a variety of services to help you while you’re here. From supporting your medical needs at the Student Health Center to your physical wellbeing at the Mashouf Center, we have the programs and services you need to help you focus on your educational work. I encourage you to seek out connections to services and find ways to support others as well.

With that, I wish you a confident and happy start to your semester.

Thanks

Warmly,

Jamillah
