How have increased tuition fees impacted you and your family?:
This past summer I moved from Florida to California to attend SFSU. I used to attend FSU but due to budget cuts there my major was cut. Therefore I moved states to attend a school that provided me with the education I desired. Unfortunately, because I hadn't lived in California for a year I have to pay out of state tuition which equals about $8000 a semester. Due to the constant increase in tuition I have had to take off this upcoming Spring semester since I am unable to afford my schooling. The notion that tuition is going to continue to increase makes me weary that I will never be able to afford schooling, even if it is in state tuition. I've already had to take out an abundance of student loans and my family is in such a dire situation themselves that they can't afford to help me pay either.

What are you studying at SF State and what do you hope to do once you graduate?:
I am studying broadcast and electronic communication arts in hopes of graduating with a career in news. I'd like to be a reporter for a television news network. However, having the time to take on an unpaid internship while I'm struggling to work as much as possible to pay for school is going to be incredibly tough.
