How have increased tuition fees impacted you and your family?:
I have two daughters who are attending California State University schools at this current time. One is boarding at SFSU and the other is living at home attending Cal State Long Beach. We are a legacy family with three of six members of my immediate family earning 8 degrees from the Cal State system. The increase in tuition for my daughters experience has been unparalleled in any of my families experience. It is causing their college experience to suffer. Gone are the days of dreams of study abroad programs, etc., now it is required that worry about mom and dad making the tuition payments for the next semester. What is outrageous is the continual substantial increases every semester. When my son entered in 2004, his tuition was 1200 per semester and I just paid over 3,100 for a single semester. That is a 158% increase over 7 years. With most of that increase coming within the last three years. The parents and students of the Cal State system need to be given relief from these tuition increases.

What are you studying at SF State and what do you hope to do once you graduate?:
My daughters are studying Art History and Nursing. I know that they will both benefit from their Cal State educations as both their parents have.
