Mayette's Voice

How have increased tuition fees impacted you and your family?:
Tuition increases have dramatically taken a toll on my family since both my sister and I are in college. We had to take out loans and my parents would often work overtime just to pay for the rising cost of our tuition which doesn't even guarantee us with the classes we want/need. It's been difficult just trying to graduate on time knowing that a lot of the classes I need left to graduate are impacted especially since very few sections are offerred. Even trying to add into a class is difficult in the sense that there have been times where I would sit on the floor in a crowded classroom hoping and praying that I can just get added onto the waitlist. With the nearly $7000 spent on our tuition, I would at least expect ENOUGH classes to accommodate all the students.

What are you studying at SF State and what do you hope to do once you graduate?:
Major: Business Administration - Marketing Expected Graduation Date: Spring 2013
