Brittany's Voice

How have increased tuition fees impacted you and your family?:
Every year the fees increase and every year there are less and less classes for everyone to take. I have stressed at the beginning of every semester fighting my fellow students to get into overcrowded classes. I was registered for only two classes when classes began this Spring--and I know I was not alone. Because of the current situation, I will be forced to take at least one extra semester of classes beyond the four years I will have already spent. Beyond that, I spent 3 semesters trying to get into my prerequisite class just to start my major! Education is not something we should be taking away from the budget. Why punish those who are trying to learn by making very difficult for them to get the classes they need?

What are you studying at SF State and what do you hope to do once you graduate?:
I am studying Cinema. I hope to be a film editor once I graduate.
