The San Francisco State University Police Department is looking for energetic, dynamic individuals interested in working in a challenging atmosphere. Police Officers at San Francisco State University are responsible for patrolling the University and surrounding areas on foot, bike, motorcycle or squad car to protect University students, faculty and staff from crimes against persons or property. We enforce all State and Municipal laws, apprehend and arrest violators and provide crime prevention seminars. Police Officers conduct investigations related to assigned cases within the course and scope of the University, California and Federal laws.


Salary: $4,135-$5,699 (negotiable depending on experience) plus up to $400 Special Assignment Stipend Pay and up to $250 monthly for P.O.S.T. Intermediate and Advanced Certificates.

Immediate assignment to the position once recruitment process is completed.

Minimum Qualifications:
* U.S. citizenship or eligibility
* Ability to meet CSU medical standards
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Possess a California Drivers License
* California POST Certificate preferred
* Pass a P.O.S.T Background Check
