General Information

San Francisco State University welcomes requests for facilities rentals from community organizations.

Located in one of the world's most exciting and diverse cities, the University is part of the 23 campus California State University, the largest system of four-year higher education in the United States. With a student population of approximately 27,000 and more than 1,650 full and part-time faculty members, San Francisco State University is one of the largest, as well as one of the most respected and community-oriented, academic institutions in Northern California.

The University occupies a 100-acre site in the southwestern corner of San Francisco, near Lake Merced, just one mile from the Pacific Ocean. It is a short commute to the campus by freeway or public transportation from downtown San Francisco or the San Francisco International Airport.

Facilities available for rental include classrooms, auditoriums, television and recording studios, tennis courts, and a gymnasium.
